London Web Week kick-started my software development odyssey and it was a feature packed week of events. Due to work commitments (damn!) I was only able to attend the evening events which involved:

Kick off party run by Yahoo!
Microformats and the semantic web
WSG findability
History of flash/flex/air

There were some interesting concepts introduced with plenty of things for me to ponder.

The main concepts introduced to me were:

- semantic web and the role of microfirmats
- need for standards and how to impkement them into a website for greater findability
- cooperation needed to build web of future
-brief history of the flash platform from hobbyist animation package to fully blown object oriented programming language and framework.
